Corporate gifts
Corporate year-end gifts: the complete timeline
Every year, some companies order their client gifts during the first week of December. Choice is then limited, delivery times extended, and customization often impossible. Here is the timeline to avoid these pitfalls.
September – early October: define the scope
- Establish the list of recipients: clients, referrers, partners, teams.
- Categorize recipients by relationship tier (see our article on budget per recipient).
- Set an overall budget and a unit budget per tier.
- Check tax constraints: €73 incl. VAT threshold for VAT deduction on business gifts, URSSAF threshold for employee gifts.
Mid-October: select the supplier
Request a detailed proposal: exact gift box contents, presentation, customization options, and delivery terms. For wine, a tasting or a sample is an effective way to validate the selection.
Early November: customize
- Draft card text and messages.
- Validate logo and visual identity elements if branding is planned.
- Consolidate delivery addresses, including exact names and on-site contacts.
Mid-November: firm order
This is the reasonable deadline to ensure seamless delivery before the holidays. Beyond December 1st, preparation and transit lead times become significantly tighter.
Early to mid-December: delivery
For client gifts, delivery between December 5 and 18 is ideal: prior to office closures and early enough for the gesture to stand out.
After the holidays
Note feedback, incorrect addresses, and recipients to add. A clean database will save valuable time the following year.
For companies in Alpes-Maritimes, Var, and Monaco, we manage selection, preparation, and delivery. Request a quote.
